Beyond accounting
A part of my life that doesn’t need to fit on a résumé.
Haedong Kumdo
My mom signed me up for Haedong Kumdo when I was five, hoping it would help me develop discipline. Over time, training helped me become calmer and more disciplined.
I’ve trained in Haedong Kumdo, a Korean sword martial art, for ten years. I hold a 4th Dan and an instructor qualification.
I’ve competed at Mulimpia twice and won awards, including gold in paper cutting. Performing in team demonstrations also brought us closer together.
I’ve also helped lead training sessions and provided instruction during demonstration competitions. When the head instructor was away, I would step in to lead training.
Golf
I started playing golf two years ago. I enjoy both getting out on the course and playing on an indoor simulator.
My shots tend to draw, and figuring out why is a puzzle I’m still working on. My goal is to become a scratch golfer within the next five years, before I turn 30.
